Megan Turrey

Hey there!! I’m Megan & I have been coaching for the past 13 years. I started straight out of competitive gymnastics in Helendale CA when I was 17. I coached competitively for 2 years and realized I wanted to venture out for something else. I started coaching tumbling on its own and lyrical expression, using movement as medicine in San Diego CA. From there I started taking circus arts classes and would later teach , but that was all a dream to me at this point.

I moved and had to start again, I was lucky to find XTC in Eagle Rock CA where I taught Tumbling & Aerial Silks/Lyra, this had been a passion for sometime and I will forever be grateful for my time spent there. I moved on to teach tumbling private lessons in Hollywood & Malibu, CA for several years. Then we made the move back to my hometown. I expanded my knowledge of child development and started teaching not only tumbling but so many multi faceted things to ages ranging from 6 months-13 at My Gym High Desert, maybe we met there ♡.  My little girl was born and changed so much for me and I’ve found my home at Dance Dynamics in Hesperia CA, where I teach Tumbling.

My philosophy is children learn best when you’re at their level. I am always learning, always evolving. These kids teach me more than I’ll ever teach them, for that I’m eternally grateful.

Sophia Ward

Hello! My name is Sophia Ward and I started dancing at Dance Dynamics when I was 6 years old in a ballet/tap combo class. From then on I developed a passion for dance and have explored  tap, jazz, ballet, modern, contemporary, and hip hop within my 12 years of dancing here. I’ve had so many amazing opportunities including dancing in the elite team for the Ontario Reign, LA Clippers, and LA Kings. I became an instructor in the 2021-2022 dance season and am so excited to be a part of this staff.

I am currently teaching ballet/tap to 3-4 year olds at the Upland location while still dancing at the studio. If I’m not at the studio, I’m still dancing; I don’t think I’ve stopped since my first class at DDS! Dance has truly made me into who I am. It’s given me discipline, respect, integrity, a crazy work ethic, and a home. I can truly say I wouldn’t  be the same person  I am today if I had never stepped foot in the studio. My hope is to give my students that same passion and love for dance my instructors gave me.

Tabitha Soto

Tabitha Soto joined the Dance Dynamics staff in the 2022-2023 season teaching hip hop. She began dancing at the age of 3 and started dancing at Dance Dynamics at 7 years old. Her initial class was a ballet/tap with Ms. Mackenzie, later expanding into different styles of dance.

Tabitha has been taught under many instructors on the Dance Dynamics staff including Mr. Stephen, Ms. Mackenzie, Mr. Ryan, and Ms. Sarah. She has taken multiple styles of dance: tap, hip hop, ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and open. She grew a love for tap and many other styles, and continues to take classes at the Upland studio.

Tabitha had the privilege of dancing on the DDS Elite team for Ontario Reign, LA Kings, and Clippers. This experience and many others have helped her grow and become the dancer and person she is today. The studio has become a second home for her and everyday she is thankful that she is taught by supportive and hard working teachers.

She is very excited to become a part of the staff and hopes to help young dancers grow a love for dance just as her instructors did for her.

Maddie Jensen

Hi, I’m Maddie.

I have been dancing since 4 years old, starting with ballet/tap with Mrs. Suzanne. In the past 14 years of dancing at Dance Dynamics, I have participated in modern, ballet, tap, hip hop, cheer, tumbling, jazz, and contemporary. I was also chosen to be in the Dance Dynamics Elite team and perform for the LA Clippers, Ontario Reign, and LA Kings.

I have been a teacher’s assistant for 4 years and now have the opportunity to teach my own ballet/tap class! Dance has helped me with my self expression and became a positive outlet for my life. I can’t express how thankful I am for the studio and all the parents that continue to support it.
